SoftPop, from BASTL instruments, is a desktop synthesizer with a mini modular patch bay. It contains six sliders for control, and a built-in speaker for playing on the go. The miniature patchbay uses small jump cables that are included with the SoftPop synth. It includes two triangle-core VCOs, with a state variable filter and modulation, all with a completely analog signal path. An external audio input allows one to use the SoftPop as a filter for processing, allowing it to be used in the vein of a guitar pedal. There are also three 3.5mm jacks that can be connected to the mini patch bay, making it possible to patch in or out modulation or audio from other Eurorack modular synthesizers.
